Use our secure prescription service to nominate Letter Box. Have your personal and GP details ready.

Request your medicine
Request your repeat through your GP or NHS App as usual. Your GP reviews and sends the approved prescription.

We dispense and deliver
Our team checks the prescription and arranges delivery. Call us about timing or special storage requirements.
Plan ahead for your next supply. The NHS advises requesting repeats up to 5 working days before you need them. Allow for delivery too; contact us early if you are running low. Already running out?

No. Your GP continues to prescribe your medicine. Nomination tells the NHS electronic prescription service which pharmacy you want to receive your prescriptions.
Is the delivery really free?
Letter Box offers free prescription delivery. This is separate from the usual NHS prescription charge, which still applies unless you are exempt. Contact us about your address or any special storage or delivery requirements before relying on the service.
Does nomination order my next prescription?
No. You still request your repeat prescription through your GP or the NHS App, unless your GP has arranged repeat dispensing. Your GP must approve the prescription before we can dispense it.
Can I change my nominated pharmacy later?
Yes. Choosing a pharmacy is your decision and you can change your nomination. If a prescription has already been sent to a pharmacy, contact that pharmacy to check what happens to that prescription before switching.
